Four years ago, I took a chance and decided to showcase two of my first paintings at a local art show in Pelican Cove, where I live. To my surprise, ha! even astonishment, one of my paintings sold immediately. That inspired me to paint more and it was even more surprising that all that painting developed into such a strong passion. Now, for better or worse, I am obsessed with my art – during those four years I created 67 paintings.
Last week I participated once again, like every year since 2019, in the same yearly art show that started my artistic journey. And while my art didn’t find a new home this time, I received lots of positive feedback and kind words from fellow artists and art lovers.
Looking back on my artistic journey, I am truly grateful for the experiences and connections I’ve made along the way. Pelican Cove has not only provided me with a stunning environment to create my art, but it is also a diverse community, filled with creative individuals inspiring community that continues to motivate me. I feel truly blessed to live in such a magical place.
