Searching through my computer files, I stumbled upon an old eBook I wrote years ago on the topic of goal setting. Of course, the principles and strategies I shared in it are just as relevant today as they were then. So, I decided to dust it off and to share it with you again.
Before I release it as a complete eBook, I thought it would be helpful to share it in a series of blog posts over the next ten days. Each post will focus on one step towards redefining your life through effective goal-setting.
If you’re ready to take control of your life and achieve your dreams, then this series is for you. Join me on this journey, and let’s redefine our lives together, one step at a time.
Redefine Your Life – Why It Matters?
As a 74-year-old painter who began my new journey in art just four years ago, and as a business coach, I can attest to the power of goals in transforming one’s life. The ability to define clear goals and consistently achieve them sets successful people apart. Yet, many individuals, especially older art lovers and aspiring artists, lack specific goals. When asked, “What do you expect from life?” their responses are often vague: health, happiness, money, or even joy from children, a home, or a car. These aren’t goals; they’re merely hopeful wishes.
The sad reality is that most people resign themselves to mediocrity because they don’t expect anything extraordinary from life. They avoid planning, fearing failure or being seen as “reaching for the impossible.” Unfortunately, few know how to set and pursue goals effectively. Goal-setting can be challenging, as it requires consideration of many unknowns and demands time and concentration.
But fear not! This eBook, written from the perspective of a late-blooming artist, will guide you through the process. However, it takes more than just reading; you must dedicate time and effort to the exercises included. So, let’s embark on this journey together and redefine your life—one step at a time.
